Salaar and Dunki , both are now believed to be releasing on Christmas this year .
As the recent news is making rounds that distributors have received an email form Salaar makers that Salaar will be coming to theatres this year itself and that too on 22nd December (awaiting official announcement from #HombaleFilms on 29th Sept 2023 ).
One thing that have started making popularity is that most of the fans and other trade analysts have started to present this duo release as a W-A-R between the two most anticipated releases of the year.. Instead why don’t we take it as a combination of Christmas and New year gifts coming together for our treat .
On one side we have Dunki which stars our king khan (Shah Rukh Khan), Taapsee Pannu, Dia Mirza . Directed by one of the most finest and successful director Rajkumar Hirani who has given us masterpieces like Munnabhai MBBS ,Lage Raho Munna Bhai , PK , 3 Idiots, Sanju.
On the other we have Salaar starring our rebel star Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan and directed by one and only Prashanth Neel who has given K.G.F (just felt like sharing – it does gives goosebumps even while writing his name her as I am big fan myself for K.G.F series)
This is not the first time we are expecting two big banner movies releasing together .There might be mentions about KGF and Zero released on same day and one performing better that the other . But this time we are talking about our King Khan who has set the standards for being a blockbuster to make 1000 crores ++ in worldwide collections with Pathan and Jawan back to back in same year. On the other hand we are expecting K.G.F universe to be unfolded further with Salaar .Who knows we may have glimpse of our Rocky Bhai – Rocking star Yash in the movie as well .
That being said I truly believe that both the films are going to be a delight to watch and it does not matter which you all decide to watch first as there will few holidays around that time to go for second, third , fourth time and enjoy both movies as many times as you want.
So let’s not see this as a CLASH instead and take these moments as a celebration for our Indian film Industry. Lets get ready to enjoy the biggest filmi festival for this year : #SalaarWithDunki or some people might want to say #DunkiWithSalaar.
